Coffee Creek Mine

Seeing Is Believing

Let us make it easy for you.  Lohman Mining will provide your party with a rustic camp on the claims, various small scale sampling and processing equipment, an ATV with cargo trailer to transport people and supplies around the claims and a "host" that can help in logistical support of any sampling and testing efforts. The fee for prospective buyers for the logistics support and camp and equipment use is $1000.00 per person per week. (50% of any fees paid by a prospective buyer would be credited toward the down payment.)  We will host up to 3 groups for a total of 6 guests at any one time. You can book the camp for a 6 person exclusive prospecting and testing program if you like for $5000 per week.   We will have the camp and host available for 4 weeks starting in July. We can potentially add an additional 2 weeks if you require.  Lohman Mining and Commercial Inc. will have the needed permits allowing for testing and sampling utilizing suction dredges up to 6", highbankers, sluices, and drilling.  Prospective buyers are allowed to bring their own testing equipment with prior approval. (Even though the claims are Lohman Mining and Commercial Inc. private property, all testing, sampling and mining operations still have to conform to various state and federal regulations for water usage.)

CAMP DESCRIPTION:

2 guests per 7 man tent with 6'8" headroom and attached screened "porch" These large roomy tents can fit 3-4 people if desired but having 2 per tent gives everyone a lot of room.
Beds will be large 36" wide by 7 foot cots with thick foam pads (guests to furnish own sleeping bags or bedrolls)

Large Screened Cook Tent with 3 burner propane cook stove, all cookware including pots, pans, coffee pot, plates, bowls, utensils. Guests will be doing their own cooking and dishes. The normal procedure is that the Camp Host will pickup the arriving guests and take them to a local grocery store where guests can purchase any desired food items. We recommend keeping your meals simple and have a recommended list of easy to fix and nutritious meals. If you would like a copy please contact us and we will send it to you. If guests prefer, they can furnish a list of their desired food items prior to June 15, along with appropriate funds and the Camp Host will purchase the desired items and have it available upon their arrival at Coffee Creek Mine.

Lohman Mining and Commercial Inc. will furnish all propane for the cook stove and skeeter vac  and gasoline for the generator and ATV. Guests will be responsible for the fuel costs for the fuel used by the testing equipment that they use. Labeled fuel containers will be assigned to guests and the cost of fuel used by guests in their testing will be settled prior to departure. Regular gasoline is currently about $5.30 per gallon in Nome. We anticipate that the price per gallon of gasoline will be about the same this coming summer. Highbanker and suction dredge fuel usage is generally 3-4 gallons per day depending on hours worked.

Screened shower tent with solar heated shower water. Shower water can also be heated on the stove as desired on rainy days. Guests will need their own towels.

Single seat outhouse style latrine and LMCC Inc. will furnish toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Lohman Mining and Commercial Inc. will have an ATV with cargo trailer on site for the Camp Host to help in transporting guests and equipment around the claims as needed.
Lohman Mining and Commercial Inc. will pickup guests in Nome upon their arrival and transport them to the claims and back to Nome for their departure.
It is anticipated that the Camp Host will be driving once a week to Nome for supplies and picking up arriving and taking back departing guests. If guests require or desire a special run to Nome it can be arranged with the camp host for $200.00. A round trip to Nome is 150 miles and takes approximately 2 hours each way so plan your needs carefully. A limited number of rental cars are available in Nome and we understand the cost is approximately $100 per day for those that may want their own vehicle.
